FPL 500 kV Rebuilds

Crux served as the EPC foundation Engineer of Record on phases B, I, C, E, F and G of Florida Power & Light’s 500 kV Rebuild projects. The projects are intended to replace aging infrastructure and increase reliability in the region. Crux’s scope included oversight of the geotechnical program, as well as development and execution of foundation designs for new structures. In total, drilled shafts were installed support approx. 1,400 new H-Frame structures.

ESW collaborates with the user entity to define QA/QC needs, roles/responsibilities, and any data/documentation required for project closeout.

ESW digitizes and enhances data collection with integrated QC capabilities informed by project design specifications and tolerances.

ESW’s team is readily available to on-site staff to minimize holdups related to technical issues or on-the-fly changes.

Project stakeholders have constant access to view real-time activity completion status via online maps and dashboards driven by electronic data collection. Accompanying tracking spreadsheets are also generated daily.

Any reports or outputs necessary for project closeout or billing (as defined in the QMP) are generated on a regular basis for seamless, standardized and polished delivery.

All documents are spatially databased for ease of access in future needs. Trends and forecasting can be derived from the data collected – optimizing future programs.
